The Kerala Pulayar Maha Sabha (KPMS) has urged its members to cast a conscience vote in the Assembly elections.
At a press conference here on Wednesday, Punnala Sreekumar, K.K. Purushothaman, P.K. Rajan and other leaders said KPMS had invited various political parties to engage in a dialogue with it to settle various issues.
The KPMS would support those who had expressed solidarity with it.
They said the organisation wanted the government to provide agricultural land to the landless, instead of offering rice at Rs.2 a kg. It was seeking more opportunities in education and employment for its members.
The community, having about 27 lakh members, exerted sizeable influence in central Kerala, they said.
